Location:
The 4-star hotel with 70 beds is located on an 8-hectare, car-free island in the centre of Carinthia’s most southerly and warmest lake, Faakersee.
Lake Faakersee is situated south-east of the city of Villach at the foot of the striking Mittagskogel (2143 m), the third-highest peak of the Karawanken range, and offers exceptional drinking water thanks to its treatment system. The area surrounding the lake is home to several nature reserves (e.g. Finkensteiner Moor) which offer an abundance of flora and fauna.

Inselhotel Faakersee is only open in summer, usually from mid-May to mid/end of September.
Prices:
Double room with bath or shower and WC, per person with breakfast buffet and 4-course evening meal – mid-season from EUR 79 and high season from EUR 115.
Children 3 and under go free. The price for children aged between 4 and 7 in a room with two adults is EUR 41; for 8-12 year-olds, there is a 30% discount and from 13 years a 20% price reduction.
Owners:
Inselhotel Faakersee and Lake Faakersee itself have been under private ownership for centuries. Today’s owners are the Bucher and Catasta families.
